Suryaman Singh Karki Pratisthan Corona Relief – 2077/1/27 (B.S.), Saturday
A brief review of the relief distribution work carried out by the Suryaman Singh Karki Pratisthan for those affected by the coronavirus pandemic is as follows:
1. From 2077/1/4 (B.S.) to date, relief has been distributed at 10 locations. Items distributed include food and snack items, plastic plates and glasses, medicines, toothpaste, bathing soap, detergent and All Out mosquito repellent sets.
2. Relief has been distributed at 7 locations in Kathmandu, 2 locations in Lalitpur and 1 location in Bhaktapur.
3. Those who have received relief so far include children, the elderly, destitute persons, mental health patients and children with disabilities.
4. In this effort, contributions have so far been received from 82 supporters, including relatives, sisters, nephews and nieces living in Nepal and abroad.
5. Around 1,100 people have benefited from the relief distributed so far.
6. Various office bearers and members of the Pratisthan, together with Mr. Dil Bahadur Karki, proprietor of Karki Banquet, have taken an active part in the distribution process.
7. Utmost care has been taken to ensure that the right individuals or groups are selected as beneficiaries and that the support is put to the best possible use.
8. On 2077 Baisakh 24 (B.S.), at the residence of Mahendra Kumar Karki in Battisputali, a meeting was held in the presence of the Pratisthan’s chairperson Pralhad Bahadur Karki and the available office bearers Rajendra Kumar Karki, Mahendra Kumar Karki, Mohan Kumar Karki, Chandi Kumar Karki and Janak Kumar Karki, together with Mrs. Indira Khadka Karki, to review the work done so far and to discuss in detail the plans for relief distribution in the coming days.
