Fourth Phase of Relief for Those Affected by Corona, by the Suryaman Singh Karki Pratisthan – 2077/01/16 (B.S.)

Today, 2077 Baisakh 16 (B.S.) (Tuesday, 28 April 2020), under the fourth phase of the Suryaman Singh Karki Pratisthan’s relief material distribution programme, the Pratisthan’s representatives Rajendra Kumar Karki, Mahendra Kumar Karki and Janak Kumar Karki handed over food relief materials at the Kaushaltar, Bhaktapur branch of the Manav Sewa Ashram. The ashram houses 58 elderly residents and, morning and evening, feeds around 600 people every day, including residents, poor and distressed people from outside, travellers walking towards their destinations, and attendants of patients at various hospitals. The Pratisthan handed over rice, lentils, oil, spices, vegetables and other essential food items sufficient for two meals, together with 600 plastic plates. In this connection, another organisation, Docs Foundation Nepal in Nakkhu, Lalitpur district, which shelters 38 destitute children, was also visited today. We wish to inform you that the necessary arrangements are being made and relief materials will be distributed there within a day or two.
